So after the Trevi Fountain we headed for Vatican City. We went through Piazza Navona, saw another cool fountain, and then got to the bridge. At this point we were getting really hot because of the sun (obviously) and the fact that we had walked several miles by now. The bridge had a pool underneath right along the Tiber, and there was a brief moment of contemplation as to if it was worth going in. We decided against it, an dwalked across the bridge. It was lined with amazing statues all the way down, really cool to see. We went across at the Castl Sant Angelo, which was a nice medieval style castle, but we didtn go in. Then we walked to the Vatican and stopped at some street vendors along the way, I almost bought a hat but decided against it. Next, St Peters Basilica. This was really, really cool. Its the best cathedral Ive been in (which you might expect since its the one with the popes). we went into the museum first and saw all the coffins from past popes, and then into the cathedral. I got some really cool shots, adn we spent alot of time in there. We saw the swiss guard as well, wihch wear the cool uniforms. Afterwards we went back to our hostels, and that story picks back up with the last blog. sorry, just wanted to get the credit for traveling here :)
