Where I stayed
Caitlin: "I know what airplanes look like and where the lights are... But I just can't get what I know to be true and what I am seeing to match up right now!"
Reaction from Chris: unstoppable laughter
While we were in our "own world" we watched the real world, as one would a television. Our favorite "shows" were people speaking in different languages as they walked past. With these we were able to make up peoples interactions for our own entertainment. At one point two young men, no older then fifteen and dressed identical, walked past speaking the most beautiful language. It was hard to hold it together but once they were a safe distance, maybe two steps, we turned to each other and started purring through uncontrollable fits of laughter. And yes, to us their language and our purring sounded identical. Granted it might not seem so funny now to you, IT WAS and maybe you should have been there.
A local named Bucket developed a crush on Chris and brought her presents to but in her hair. We decided that while Bucket was entertaining it was time for us to venture from the safety of our beach chairs. We followed our legs which brought us to an empty bar aside from the four Thai women behind the bar. We ordered two beers and sat there without speaking, while the Thai women literally stared at us until one exclaimed that we were just so beautiful. We then tried to tell them the same, because they were and because then they weren't staring at us, when one announced that we would be even more beautiful if we would just slim down. At first we thought that maybe we had heard her wrong, but not. She declared that our faces were perfect but that we needed to lose some weight... And to add insult to injury she was pregnant, which she pointed out after she showed us that she was smaller then we are. And now we are facebook friends, forever! I guess you really can say anything you want as long as you do it with a smile. We decided one beer was plenty at that location and let our legs bring us back to our beach chairs. It was a fun evening full of laughter, spacecraft, weirdos, and music. Thank you "shakes"
