After having returned from another high altitude adventure, it was time for some chill-out time in civilization.

In the next couple of days, I spent my time mostly in and around Taipei, where I did some shopping, visited night markets, parks, the zoo (to see the panda baby) , museums, etc.

The following week, Simon then took a couple of days off from work so that we could explore the northern part of Taiwan together.

Unfortunately the weather was still as bad as it was when I went to the mountains, but we still had a good time together as we chilled out in the hot springs of Jiaoxi, rode the Pingxi train to visit the place where the annual lantern festival is held, were impressed by the rock formations in Yeliu and partied our asses off in Taipei in order to say Goodbye to this wonderful country!
