Another early day and we arrived at Universal Studios by 10.00am. Weather is hot again. Around 90F. We did the Universal Studio Tour first and that was great. We visited movie and TV sets. The King Kong 3-D set was amazing and we also traveled through the War of the Worlds set. The tour took us through Wisteria Lane where they film Desperate Housewives and we went through the set of Physco, Back to the Future, Jaws and various others.

Universal Studios is big on shows rather than rides. We watched an Animal Antics show with some very clever animals, a Shrek 4-D action adventure, the Waterworld spectacular tidal wave show with death defying stunts, awesome explosions and an ocean of thrills, and the Special Effects Show where we learnt the secrets behind using CGI, stop motion and motion capture technology.

Lunch was at wherever there wasn't a queue. Cinnabon is my favorite takeaway. Cinnabon is a place that sells buns filled with cinnamon and covered with frosting. Yummy.

Rides were next. We did them all! YEY! (Ricky and I included). The Simpsons Ride was first. This was a virtual coaster. Next was the Jurassic Park Ride with the only exit being a treacherous plunge straight down an 84-foot vertical drop waterfall. WOW!

The Mummy Ride was last. This was a scream a minute rollercoater through the dark, that went forwards and backwards. Very fast and scary.

Dinner in downtown Universal and back to the hotel to watch TV. (The Hangover is on TV. What a way to finish the day).
