Most of y'all know that bats are my Big Freak Out.  I hate them.  They are scary.  They are gross.  They are rats that can fly and suck your blood. 

There are lots of bats in Beijing.   Every night we are out we see them diving in the air.  If we are walking through a park, they are all around, so I always make Gregg walk fast!

According to Chinese lore, bats bring good fortune.  Yeah, and a bride prays for rain on her wedding day for the same reason...

I think they are lying.
