We got to the shallows and laughed at each other trying to stand on the rocks -- shivering from the cold..
We hopped back on and motored over to Kalekoy for our daily walk - this time we were going to check out the ancient city of Simena to see the Crusaders Fortress. After paying our entrance fee we wandered through the ruins of a theatre -- this is where they supposedly held council meetings. The walls of the fort were quite big and in excellent condition and we climbed all the way to the top - this gave us sensational views of the area and all the little islands. The landscape on the mainland was very hilly and very rocky - from the top we also saw where the richest man in town lived - his house was fairly basic but he did have a helipad!
We walked down the other side which was dotted with Lycian tombs and sarcophagus - all have been robbed. A few group shots later we walked back down to the boat for lunch - more of mums fantastic food -- we are definitely going to miss this! By mid-afternoon it had heated up so after a little sun baking all of us hopped in for a snorkel of swim
It was almost a full moon tonight and the water was so calm you could see the reflection of it... was tough trying to take a pic capturing it though... Soon enough we packed away the table and they bought the disco music out. The daughter of the couple had come aboard and soon she had everyone up dancing - you couldn't resist the puppy eyes she gave you if you weren't! We danced in circles doing the cha cha and whatever else we came up with, limbo and a round of musical chairs as well -- winner got a free drink!
It was a great night and a fantastic 3 days - we all dint want to leave but we have to keep moving... Our last night was the calmest it had been, the weather the warmest - just perfect..!
