We trekked to Milan to find the airport so we can pick up the Wyssmanns on Saturday morning.  Decided to check out the third largest cathedral in Europe...the Milano Duomo!   It surely is spectacular.  The inside holds 52, 100 ft. tall pillars and there are 2000 statues.   It was built to hold 40,000 worshippers which was the size of Milan when it was first built.  We climbed up the stairs so we could walk among the "spires" on top.  Unbelievable!  See Photos!
However, our unbelievable day was only beginning.   We had tried unsuccessfully to get reservations on line to see the Last Supper painting by Leonardo Da Vinci.   We took a chance after an hour of trying to find a parking space.....and we got in.  God is Good!   The painting on the dining room wall was spiritually moving.  Sorry they don't allow photos.

Janice, we had a Gelato in honor of you, actually twice already!    And yes it was as good as we remembered!  :)
