Update on the ankle...better but still swells up when I walk on it...joyous day.  I'm so over the sprained ankle...anxious to moving around like normal again.

Last night we had our ceremony'i to give out certificates for the first session of my English classes.  All of 4 students managed to complete the class, take their exam, and pass with flying colors.  This session I have many more students...I think I'm up to about 20, but not all of them come to every class.

The weather is always an adventure here in Paraguay...now I'm starting to really understand why Paraguayans don't go out in the rain...the roads are impossible...the buses don't run their normal routes and no matter what you do...everything you are wearing and in your backpack get soaked All lined up...
All lined up...
.  At his moment I have my own personal drying rack here in the Peace Corps office.  My clothes are hanging on chairs and on the banisters.  The main road I had to cross had running water down hill...with a current so strong I nearly didn't make it across...at least not with my flip flops in tow.  But I made it...with water up to my thighs.  I had planned on taking advantage of the running water with a nice shower...but why bother...I'm already soaked from head to toe!  Every outing here is an adventure!

I'm attaching some pictures of...my school...we are trying to get some money to build some new classrooms.  Our older ones have dirt floors, no electricity, a leaky roof...they are ovens in the summer and freezing in the winter.  Also there are some pictures of my teachers at the workshop I did on Friday and of my proud English students with their certificates!
