My summer is slowly coming to an end...can hardly believe it!  So what have I been doing...I've started up another session of English classes, been tutoring reading and math at my base school, meeting new volunteers, visiting the Hogar (children's home near the river), working and planning summer camps with other volunteers, and of course making plans for the new school year.  Oh, and I've moved!  My new home is with the family of 3 of my English students.  They have been wonderful and so helpful...more time for them to practice some English while they can help me with Guarani!  They are even taking the initiative to have English class while I'm away for training.  Left them a backpack full of goodies for them to practice!  I'll be calling them tonight to see how it goes.  They can hardly believe that I'll be gone for 2 weeks...it's nice to know I'll be missed!  After my 3 days of training I'm heading to another volunteer's site to help with a summer camp...it'll be nice to see another part of Paraguay and see what kind of work she is doing.  Long trip from north to south, but maybe the weather will be a little cooler down there!

Still hoping to see the Giants in the SuperBowl tonight...GO GIANTS!

Glad to hear from you
Hey there. I'm glad to hear that you are still doing well. B and I check in on you and think about you often. I also wanted to let you know that we're going to have a baby. Thats right, 14 years after we started dating, we are going to become parents. Now just picture Brandon changing a diaper and your life will be complete. j/k. I hope you get to watch the bowl tonight. I'll cheer for the giants for you!

Yay, Giants!!!!
I sure hope you got to watch the Super Bowl to see your Giants make a great comeback! Alvie and I were rooting for them. We were kind of scared there for a while; you know that ususally every team he roots for loses! But this time he and the Giants came out winners! Missed you being here!
