I have to start this entry by saying GO GIANTS! I mean I know I havenīt actually seen a game all season, but I do my best to check in with the standings when Iīm checking my email. By some random luck...I might actually get to watch the game...you see Iīll be heading into Asuncion for 3 days of training on SuperBowl Sunday...and we are staying where there are TVs and Internet so Iīm really hoping that weīll be able to tune in. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Things here are...well...HOT...yes I know, itīs Paraguay...and this hot weather seems to run about 9 months out of the year. Everytime I see those blowup kiddy pools I want to buy one to put on my front patio. Maybe one day Iīll actually stop and check the prices...you never know...it could be worthwhile. I could charge the neighborhood kids swimming time in exchange for doing laundry...okay okay...jk...I know the whole child labor laws and all.
Iīm just starting to get back into the swing of things since coming off of my vacation time. Meeting with people to arrange projects for the upcoming school year. Hard to believe but I am approaching my one year mark in Paraguay! FEBRUARY 8th! This will be the same day that my sister group arrives in Paraguay...these are a new group of volunteers that train the same cycle. Itīll be interesting to go in and help with training and be the īveteranī volunteers.
Well...thatīs all the news for now! Keep me updated on whatīs going on in the states.
