Okay...I know it has been a while since my last update. Let's see...I survived this past week back in Guarambare for our first IST (In-Service Training). They call this one our Reconnect since it's our first time back with our whole G together. We have 4 days of language classes, meet with the doctor, the director of PC, director of our sector, and the security guy. Got another Guarani book to continue my studying and learned about poisonous snakes and spiders...sounds fun doesn't it? It was good to see my Education girls again....we got to spend lots of time hanging out since we all stayed with our host families again. The joyous 45 minute walk to and from class every morning in the cold...needless to say I drank lots of mate (think hot water and yerba). It was pretty laid back though...not too much work. More of a time to catch up and debrief what's been going on our first 3 months in site.
I'm heading on a bus before too long back to my site. I have a charla tomorrow, a meeting on Wednesday, and I'm helping another volunteer on Thursday and Friday with her workshops...not to mention my Guarani tutoring in there. It's gonna be a busy week!
Miss and love you all...just wanted to say what I miss more than anything is seeing your smiling faces...don't forget to send me pics so I can see your beautiful faces!
