Last week I went to a nearby site to help some volunteers with a winter camp. It rained so we didn´t think many would show up but we ended up with 40 kids inside the house singing, making noodle necklaces, and giving a charla on trash and recycling. What a night...but it was fun. Getting me warmed up for my camp that starts tomorrow! I could end up with 40 to 50 kids each day depending on if they all show up. I´m only doing a morning session for 3 hours because I´m sure I´ll need the afternoon to recover! In town today to buy all the supplies...thought I might not make it since it started pouring as soon as I walked out the door. Hope the rain holds out for the camp this week otherwise the kids won´t show up!
Just got back in town from a sector meeting. They sent us all to a bunk style grounds in Asuncion to meet for 2 days with other volunteers from the education sector. Yeah to showers, heat, and good food! They feed you nonstop at these meetings...breakfast...snack...lunch...snack...dinner. It was nice to see everyone again...first time we were all back together since the end of April when we officially became volunteers. In two weeks we will be back in our training communities for a few days for our Reconnect...our first meeting back in our training community with all the volunteers from our group. We go back for 4 days of language classes and for them to check in and see how we are adjusting to life in our sites on our own. It´ll be good to have time to see everyone...this past week was just education folks but we´ll get to see the health group too.
Not a whole lot of news on my end...still loving the new place! Love to you all!

Hi Lisa!! Just checking in to let you know I love your logs! Your notes are wonderful, I can picture so much! I am so glad you got your own place, your room is so nice and how fun to have a working bath and kitchen, reminds me how much we take for granted here! Hope all is going well, know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take good care, Love, Aunt Helen
