Hey all...a weather update...I didn´t freeze last night and I´m wearing shortsleeves which is so much better than all the layers. Plus I can bathe which I know you are all happy to hear about. Not that it matters to you all...but for my own peace of mind. I´m completely recovered from being sick...yah!!! That´s another bonus of late. To the nurse out there who´s reading...yes I did finish all my medicine like a good patient.
So the teachers at my school are on strike this week...just when I thought it was gonna be a normal week with no holidays, meetings or days off for students. I thought they were going to go to school for the whole week...but no. I´ve been productive though...studied some language, met with the educator from the regional hospital, and looked over some paperwork for my site presentation. My coordinator comes to my community and tells them all about what Peace Corps is and why I´m here...all the good stuff...so that´s in 2 weeks. Looks like I´ll be doing some health projects to get started with the educator from the hospital...our objectives line up and he seems like he will be good to work with and bounce ideas off of...a good place to get started anyway. I´m excited about having actual work...as opposed to what I am doing...which is work...but not measureable. Essential things like finding out where things are, a place to live, studying language, observing in the schools...but I still feel like I don´t have much to show for it. That will come soon enough though...hopefully we can get something started before winter break in July. I´m looking forward to it.
Hope you all are enjoying the updates...miss and love ya all!

Wednesday Update
You bet we are enjoying these updates! We love to know what is happening in your life. Every word is read carefully. Then when I go home, I bring up the site and read what you have written to Alvie. He loves hearing from you, too.
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, but what an exciting time! Learning a new culture, meeting new people, trying new ideas. Keep up the good work.
We love you, baby.
