I got my site and I´m going to Concepcion!  Yes...it´s far...from here at least.  They have a great core of volunteers nearby that I´ve heard wonderful things about.  I´m super nervous.  We meet our community contact tomorrow and then we stay over night for an encuentro and then leave for a week in our sites.  I´ve only had about an hour to process so I´m still squeaking with the reality of it all.  I gotta start the walk home and finish packing for the trip.  Hope to have more for you all when I come back.  Wish me luck!

But luck, you do not need luck. You will deal w/this the way you have dealt w/everything; a positive attitude and excitement w/ the unexpected. Your host family I am sure is disappointed, but hopefully you will be able to keep seeing them. Keep us all posted. Love U lots,

I can't believe the day has finally come where you get to find out where you will be for the next two years...time is flying by!... Good luck to you in Consepcion (sp?).. I'm glad you will be near a core group of volunteers, thatll help with the transition. Can you take the kitten with you?..haha... Write soon so we know what it is like there!

Leese, I think it's great that you finally know where you are going. I'm looking forward to hearing all that you'll be doing once you get there. Keep writing, because we love to hear from you, even when it's a long time in between. Love, Michelle

P.S. It's a good time to be out of the country. Atlanta knocked NY out of first last week. I'm glad you didn't have to be here to see it. :-)
