Less then a month to go now until we fly out of Aus for around 2 years (if we have enough money). All the organisations that we are doing have been coming along well. We have visa's for Cuba and Brazil and I have managed to get my Italian passport and Katie will soon be getting a family visa for Italy.
We are feeling that recognisable, but not so familiar mix of emotions as the big Kahuna draws ever nearer. Those feelings of excitement and anticipation for things to come, nervousness for the unexpected and the sadness that comes from leaving loved ones behind for a long time.

We have made a few changes of the desired route around South and Central America. After Brazil, we will now be travelling from Cuba to Mexico, then to Guatemala, Honduras (to stay on the coast and scuba dive in the Caribbean), Nicaragua, then to Columbia. This is where we will return to the original line on the map which will take us through Ecuador, Peru to Bolivia (help building the orphanage for a few months), then to Argentina and out of S.A to Europe. We have now booked our main flights - we fly into Sao Paulo (Brazil) on the 15th January and leave Brazil (to fly to Italy) on the 16th October 2008.

We are now considering having Christmas in Italy with our Italian family in Palazolo (NorthWest Italy).
