Lake Shore RV Resort

We moved over to the Lake Shore RV Resort, just east of Flint, in Davison, MI. We stayed there three years ago and it definitely is Big, Busy and Beautiful. I wish I had taken more photos to be able to show you.

When we arrived on Thursday to check in (with reservations), the security guard said to pick a site, then after setting up, go to the office to let them know where we are and fill out the paperwork. Well, it's a good thing we didn't arrive a day, or even an hour, later, because by then there wasn't another site to be had, or if so, it wouldn't be in a prime location... and the place is huge!! Families galore! The people on one side of us said they live only about 15 minutes away, but they come to the resort every chance they get.

They've got just about every activity that you can think of...both indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs and sauna, a beach swimming area, canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, playgrounds & jungle gyms in several places, a fancy putt-putt golf course, adult lounges, water fountains to play in, wagon rides, and so much more!!

On Friday, we had lunch with Vicki, a friend from Winter Haven, our Brownsville winter home. She plays bridge with Terry down there. It was a delicious meal with a lot of fun conversation and I think we could have yakked for hours, so much fun!. Unfortunately, we couldn't see more of her during our stay because she left the next day to drive to North Carolina to see her daughter. We'll just have to wait until November when we get to Brownville.

Our next stay was at the Lake of the North RV Resort just outside of West Branch, MI (north of Saginaw). Nice place, good for families, but the non-paved roads around the resort were not very good and instead of speed bumps, they had speed troughs, not fun, no matter how slow you creeped over them, even in a car, and it's so much worse in the RV!
