Our next stop was at Erie Islands Resort and Marina in Port Clinton, OH. The next day, we drove about a half an hour away to the awesome Cedar Point Amusement Park in nearby Sandusky, OH. Cedar Point is famous for it's 17 Roller Coasters and a lot more. Each one of them is bigger, higher, faster, scarier, and every other superlative that you can think of. Mean Streak is a monster wooden coaster and Gemini is another wooden coaster but with two side by side tracks.

Terry and I both love roller coasters and thrill rides, so we had to get our fix. We only got to go on about half of them, plus a few other rides, because the park was really crowded causing long lines. I must admit that I had to close my eyes on some parts of the highest and scariest rides.

One called the Skyhawk was one of those. It's sort of like a giant swing that takes you about 120 feet up in the air and at a 95 degree angle from the ground, first face up, then face down... WOW!!

My favorites are the kind that have your legs hanging loose instead of resting on a floor, although, sometimes pressing on a floor can help secure you. The Raptor is one of the tallest and fastest inverted coaster in the world with six head over heels inversions....definitely an aggresive thrill!!

Then, later in the afternoon, there was a heavy rainstorm that stopped all of the rides and drenched everybody. I had an umbrella but I still got soaked. Earlier we had avoided the two water rides because we saw how wet everyone was getting. Well, after the rain stopped, we could have gone back to go on them, but by then Terry's knee was hurting him from all the walking and the battery on my electric scooter wasn't as well charged as I thought and was almost dead. So we limped our way back to the car.
