"There is no moment of delight in any pilgrimage like the beginning of it." -- Charles Dudley Warner

As many of you know, I have recently made the decision to begin the next chapter of my life and embark on a semi open ended journey. The general plan is to travel from the end of September, 2008 until I join the Peace Corps in 2009 or...

I will attempt, to the best of my abilities, to reflect upon everything I encounter. There will be a little history, a little politics, a little economics, a little sociology, and a whole lot of culture and tales of new friends, crazy encounters and hellish travel stories.

I provide you with an entertaining read while you digest your morning coffee and bagel and you provide me with comments, hysterical tales from home and positive stories on Cal Football.

Stay tuned... and I look forward to the next time our paths will cross.

So happy for you
Hari - I am so happy you FINALLY decided to follow your heart and dreams, although I'd like to think that I had a bit to do with the inspiration. Good luck, and I will see you in India and Thailand

Love, mp

Good luck, my friend.
A wise man once opined there are more things on heaven and earth than are dreamt of in our philosophies. As you travel all around this heaven and earth, I look forward to reading about exactly what things ol' Billy Bob Shakes was talking about.

I hope you have an amazing journey full of hilarious hijinks, near death experiences, drug-fueled shit shows, alcoholic hijinks, amazing scenery, amazing people, laughter, culture, intrigue, suspense, and pussy...sweet, delicious, ethnically-marinated pussy.

If I don't see you in Brazil for Carnival, it's because I died trying to get there. God speed, good sir. God speed...
