The meet point for this trip, we met up at Sungai Lembing (Kuantan) at 6.15am and had an early breakfast there. Then, at 6.40am or so, we departed to the Rainbow Waterfall by a four wheel that took us around 1 hour to reach the hiking trail. Along the way, our 4 wheel drive drove through bumpy roads and small streams which was fun. We also past by a campsite which has a quite beautiful site. beautiful place to camp.

After an hour of 4 wheel bumpy riding, we reached a point where the vehicle can go further. We started off hiking, walking and passing through a waist-high stream which was fun! My first time! Then, we started to hike, crossing some small streams, wetting our shoes. Then, walking on muddy trails. We also had to climb across a dead trunk tree in the middle of our trails a couple of times. Sometimes we had to go under the dead trunk trees making it an exciting jungle trekking. Slipped a couple of times because my shoes werent suitable for hiking. I wore a sportshoes.. ARGH! It was scary when I kept on slipping and slipping. Fear of falling and hit somewhere.

It is advisable to wear comfortable hiking shoes as we had to walked on slippery river stones and also a walking stick. I grabbed one while trekking and I'm very grateful for that! :)

After hiking about 30-45 minutes, you wont realized the hiking was that long as you can see many sceneries along the way. Finally, we reached the waterfall. The waterfall was quite high. Higher comparing to the waterfall we went in Panching (Kuantan). And at the bottom of the fall, you can see a gorgeous rainbow very clearly. Once you see that, you will realize that it is all worth risk taking and numb-breaking experience of hiking. It is all worth it. Plus, the tour only costed us Rm30 per person. What more can you ask for?

Furthermore, the tour guide even cook us noodle in cup and boiled hot tea. He cook at the waterfall with the gas cooker he brought along with him. Take a swim and have fun in the goosebump-rising cooling water while they boil the water. We even had the chance to see 2 rainbows at one time.

It is advisable to reach the waterfall before 11am something. After that, you might not see the rainbow. Besides that, never go to Sungai Lembing during the monsoon season which is Nov to March as it will be very dangerous then.
