I found out some other cool things about the telescope. The cooling system is like the traditional one we have for our telescope. Instead of filling a dewer with liquid nitrogen, they have tubes that run the liquid nitrogen to the camera, then it comes back to the cooling system and gets cooled again. They recycle the liquid nitrogen, which is pretty awesome! They also showed us the DEC calibration room, which was neat, and showed us the optics they use.
We watched the sun set again tonight, and there was a slight green refraction. Still no flashes, but we'll keep watching the sun set for the rest of the trip and hopefully we'll see it.
No crazy bugs today, so that was a great success.. haha.
Observing went well. We switched back and forth between Asteroid 32615 and 51958. Our data is looking great so far! Hopefully the weather continues to be wonderful and we can get 8.5 nights worth of data. Out of 10 nights total, that's an amazing run.
