Why? Where? How?
Why ? Well why not ? You only live twice. Where ? Anyone for darts ? How ? The 3 Options ...... 'RTW' - the conveyor belt - Well where to start....round the world flights. The options are varied, and there is great fun in seeing a country on a map you've never heard of before and adding it to the itinerary. But on reading more about them especially at w.travelindependant.info - ( the best travel advice website i found ) they showed to be inhibitive to the vauge travel plans that were in mind. 'INDEPENDANTLY ARRANGED TRAVEL' - the procrastinators dream - Travelling as in moving or travelling as in exploring? Questions that need to be asked before concreting any travel plans. It helps initially to ask why you want to travel , what you want to get from it and how you want to see things 'at pace or at leisure'. Emails were exchanged to a yacht owner planning a trip from Marmais in Turkey to Thailand over a six month period, taking in the Red Sea, Maldives and Sri Lanka along the way. A reply was got the hopes were high .... but noting of fruition came. Some say that the best part of travel is in 'the getting there', i say 'the second best part is not even getting started'. Those few weeks were great, imagine .......
PS See 'Petra Blog' This chapter aint closed yet! The Captain was landfast at Petra ....... From here the plans slowly took shape, 'INDIA by MOTORBIKE' EH ...........
