Portage Bay Backpackers

Our bodies rested, refueled and refreshed we eat a hearty breakfast, trade in our bikes and lace up our hiking shoes with clear skies above us. We hike 24 kilometers from Punga Cove to Portage Bay over the gorgeous ridge of the Queen Charlotte Track. Some of the most glorious scenery ever with 365 degree views of emerald green valleys, Paul Newman blue lakes, lush forests and even puffy white clouds to punctuate the views. We enjoy each others company and offbeat sense of humor, and especially enjoy our packed lunches. What is it about hiking that makes a bag lunch taste so dang great??!! We are having a blast and feel at peace with ourselves and our environment. I'm so happy I made the decision to go with these folks on this hike, it has been absolutely awesome, with the new friends special and the landscape wondrous!! We arrive again hungry to our home for the night, happy to discover that they make the best fish and chips south of London. Ooooh that salty goodness, just the thing for hungry hikers.....
