This blog entry is very late, partly due to the fact that choosing five highlights from Asia is nigh on impossible and partly because finding time to think back to Asia during the madness that is Africa is pretty tricky. So here goes:
1. The Great Wall of China. A tough walk meant every so often we needed to pinch ourselves and remember we were on The Great Wall of China. Wow.
2. The Terracotta Army. A sight I have wanted to see since I was in primary school and I was far from disappointed.
3. Easy Riding in Dalat. Motorbiking through the Central Highlands with a few friends and excellent guides. Double wow.
4. The Temples of Angkor. Four exhausting days exploring the temples by tuk-tuk rounded off our time in Cambodia, one of my favourite countries so far.
5. South East Asian food. Fish in Halong Bay, cheap eats throughout Vietnam and Cambodia, learning to cook beer fish in Yangshou, Thai salads on Bottle Beach. Yum!
Disclaimer- this top 5 has changed daily since we left Hong Kong, hence finally sitting down and quickly writing this entry!
