We thought we'd better do a separate page for our cricket pictures so people don't have to wade through them if they're not interested!
Despite the result of the series, we've had a great time following England so far. A total of 1,921 runs have been scored and 49 wickets lost in the four games we have attended; finishing with a win, a tie and two defeats. We have only ever seen five international ODIs live, and two of them have been ties (the first being the 2005 Natwest Series final at Lords, England v Australia).
Overall England were a little too inconsistent to come out on top, but there have been many highlights: being soaked through, but happily chatting to locals and fellow England fans during the two hour plus rain break at Hamilton; Colly's innings in Auckland to take us to victory; the impressive total posted at Napier, including Collingwood hitting six massive sixes in his innings; the final over from Wright at Napier when we grabbed a tie from the jaws of defeat; and the huge hitting from Wright and Masceranhus at the close of our innings Christchurch to give us a glimmer of hope.
We now have a break from the cricket until the second test match in Wellington(though we'll be listening to the first on the radio, whilst walking the Queen Charlotte track, 71km over three and a bit days). England have been well
supported here so far, but the arrival of the Barmy Army for the tests should make things more interesting, and might cut down on some of the abuse from the Kiwis!
