The Seine on a Saturday afternoon had something different to offer, the Paris Plage. What a sight it is to see Paris turned into a wonderful care-free location, tons of sand brought into the banks of the Seine reaching from where we started on ile-st-louis, the island in the centre of historic part of Paris to end just before the Louvre. We casually walked along, and I smiled really all the way. Petanque being played, small expresso's being drunk, children laughing and playing in the sand and under the specially erected showers. It seemed again not enough time for me to enjoy it, I was just passing, soon to start again in another place. A tourist really, six months had felt like just a long weekend in Paris. It had gone all too quickly.
