I was sent these angels and no longer felt lonely we all hanged out for the week and had a lot of good times together and also traveled together onto Cartagena for a few more days
. I also learnt some useful dormitory 'chat' from lovely Laura and am going to try it out a bit more so I can keep making friends and hopefully travel with more people. We all clicked and that is the thing with traveling, you might never know when or who you meet but make the most of it while you can. I also learnt a little phrase from Laura, the three t's. Things. Take. Time. Very true and apt for me personally. I am also pleased to say I know a more about how to use the settings on my camera thanks to Laura (her job is a photographer) so with that look out for my improved photos - see the sunset of Cartagena in this blog update, pretty cool huh?!
With that, it's time to go hang out with the gang as we won't be together much longer and I am going to go make the most of the moment now!!
Time is the best tonic. I feel like, after two months in, I am more rested, relaxed and my cure of travel is working on me mentally and physically. I no longer have this anxious feeling changing my place or getting on the next bus and I also feel I can enjoy the moment I am in. Not spend energy worrying about what has happened or what might happen. I was feeling a little lonely after my carnival experience in Barranquilla and set off for the beachtown Tanganga, lovely little fishing port. When I was there I visited Tayrona National Park and when I came back to Casa de Felipe hostel I changed rooms and met some great people. Laura from London who was traveling for a month and just came from Ecuador, and two doctors from Israel, Shai and Shlomi.
