Birthday at the Lake

We have already started the process of saying goodbye. Charlie and I were in Indiana for my birthday and had a great time visiting with family and friends. We made one last swing up there the end of August to drop off my car, more stuff, and say our final fairwells to my beloved family. It was a good time at the lake visiting with my Mom, Dad and David. On September 1st we hope to head to the east coast and visit some family and friends. From there we will be in Texas with Charlie's mom and dad. We will be heading on our big trip from there.

I am writing now because I don't know what will happen after we leave Memphis. Now I know I have internet access and I wanted to give you a brief overview of what is happening with us. Yet Another Successful Summer

Around September 11th, we will be heading to Zurich, Switzerland. We will be in many countries in Eastern Europe and end our first loop in Greece. We are taking it one day at a time. We've got our backpacks, our hiking boots, and enough clothes to last us for awhile. It will be an adventure to say the least.

From Greece we are flying to Asia, where the true craziness will begin. We will keep you posted on our whereabouts and progress. Right now the plan is to come home in mid- December. Although if we run out of money or energy before then, we will be back sooner. We will do our best to keep you posted through this web site. They call it the World Wide Web, I guess we will be putting that to the test.
