After a short ferry journey (which was nice not to have to waste a day travelling) we all made it to Koh Phangan. With the full moon party just a few days away we had booked accommodation through hostel world. When we arrived we all jumped into a tuk tuk aka the death ride! Not sure how the motor is still going after the crazy man was driving round in 1st gear! Anyway we made it to Thai Dee Gardens and the huts weren't too great! There were bugs everywhere to the point that we couldn't take our shoes off without ants crawling all over you. The lads weren't too impressed and within a hour they had found alternative accommodation and we were on the go again.

We ended up staying in a beach resort. The boys all shared one room (5 lads in 2 double beds) whilst Charlie and I had a double bed each. Our room was nice and it was only £5 a night but with just a fan and no air con the next 5 days were poor hell!

We had a little hammock in our balcony and the we could see the beach from our room which was amazing! The hammock didn't look too safe and i soon realised how unsafe it was when the ropes snapped and i landed straight on my bum. The pain was unreal and a couple of weeks on it still bloody hurts!

Anyway being our first night on the island we got a few beers in and got ready for the pool party!

I have noticed when travelling you bump into the same people over and over, each island you go too! I popped to the shop and bumped into the army lads from Phi Phi!

The pool party was mental! The pool itself was small but everyone was crammed in. It was good fun apart from you seemed to get totally abused by random people who thought it was acceptable to touch you!

Anyway after a few buckets and a shed load of water in your face the partying continued.

We went to the pool party the next evening because it was s bloody good night out but the third night we headed to where the full moon party beach is. It was the pre full moon party night so the beach wad heaving. We got chatting to this guy with the most horrendous shirt on, even his label was called 'shirt shirts' ha!

We had a little boogie and then headed for mellow mountain. It is the place you go to get the special shakes aka magic mushroom shakes. Certainly would not be legal in the UK but here in Thailand there are no rules. So the boys and I got this special shake and was on our way! It was an interesting night to say the least! We all headed back to our resort where we pretty much had the beach to ourselves and we all chilled. It was the funniest night so far!!!

The weather in Phangan was super hot and doing anything during the day was a struggle but we manage to get some sunbathing time in and we walked into town and got dresses and paint ready for the full moon party.

The full moon party was insane! Everyone all dressed up and covered in UV paint. We got our buckets and partied on the beach! The beach was packed with party goers and we saw the full moon party fire sign. There were stages which looked unsafe but still we climbed up and danced away.

Alan and I went and watch the crazy fire show where people burnt themselves but it was good fun to watch.

We partied hard and watch the sun rise. It was a good night and an unforgettable night.

Koh phangan is a lovely place beautiful beaches, lots of sunshine and party capital.

Koh Phangan you did you proud!
