We had a pretty nice lay day. Got
laundry done and did some body maintenance.
The family that owns the campground are
great. They have own the place for 40 years and yet, they are fairly
young. Well, young from our perspective. The husband is super
talented and built the building (huge) with restaurant below all out
of brick. He also did all the tile work which is beautiful. His
wife was telling me that their son is an architect so, I guess it
runs in the family. The first night we were there, sitting outside
in their garden having a beer, their family, complete with grandkids
were having dinner outside. So nice to see a family that close.
In the late afternoon, a camper from
Ireland pulled in, a woman by herself. Her husband is a chemical
engineer and has been working nearby. She had brought the camper
down for him to live in because he was paying 850 euros for a small
apt. They have 4 grown children and Veronique is French and her
husband is Irish. She spoke English, mainly because she has lived in
Cork, Ireland for the past 30 years. We had a wonderful visit with
her. This is what we like so much about traveling!
