It seemed like a good idea to go for a wee dander on the beach this morning after a few late nights in the bars of Donegal town. We needed a bit of healthy exercise and a break from crowded bars. I have to admit I quite like stormy weather, except when I'm cycling, so I was looking forward to the walk.

The tide was well out and the wind was whipping up the sand when we arrived. Initially it was actually sunny, but within half an hour the flying grains of sand were joined by shrapnel like hailstones. It really was spectacular. I just thought I'd share some of the photos and video of an Irish beach in the springtime. Beaches are not just for sunbathing!!
