...rather un-glamorously though, mine happens to be into a car in Burton upon Trent, my motherland. As you can see in the picture, the thing that really tickles me about this town is the slogan "Gateway to the National Forest", as if its some gorgeous, green town. But as those who have been here will attest, its actually the exact opposite (science-fact people, science-fact!).

Anyway, enough moaning about Burton. It's not all bad, after-all, I was spawned here. It was actually quite sad leaving having had a good send off in town on Friday - we went to, rather unbelievably, one of Burton's two (read it, two) gay bars which was amusing.

So, with my mom and dad in check (they decided 30 mins before i got the train that they were going to drive me down to the airport instead), off i set to London for a final drink or two with my southern mates.

Perhaps a little harsh and you forgot to mention it is the brewing capital of England so has a lot going for it from that perspective!
