Took a bus along the famous Seven Lakes route. The public bus goes this way so everyone wants the front seat of course.  We had booked early to make sure we did indeed have these coveted seats but were put in a right awkward position when we got on and found an old woman and her two adult daughters firmly glued to the upholstery.  They insisted it was free seating and we insisted it wasn´t - ¨Look, there are numbers on our tickets!¨ I said waving the bits of paper around and trying to stay cool and composed.  Not the easiest of arguments but, as the queue grew behind us, one of the women eventually got up and moved.  Lots of muttering later and we were all settled with cameras at the ready.  Think the driver wished he´d stepped in earlier as the old lady bombarded him with questions about the lake for the first hour then promptly fell asleep.

San Martin is the sweetest little town, set right on the beach so you can sit for hours just chilling out and watching the world and mate drinkers go by.  Met a great bunch of travellers in the camp site, got drunk on cheap wine and pottered round more hills - luxury!
