We made it! Only took us an extra month, but Argentina was wonderful. The Lonely Liar and other travellers have been full of scare stories about the border crossing but it turned out to be very easy and quick! We rolled up fairly early to find Ļthe ant tradeĻin full motion - streams of locals, heavily laden with bags of (illegal) goods staggered round the back of the border control offices (leaving us with no queue whatsoever). Donīt know who or what they pay but all the goods are dumped on the other side and back they come for the next lot. Took a photo and got told off by a man with a bag of cement draped across his shoulders. Found an internet cafe and the best veggie meal Iīve had so far in South America (this was not to be a sign of things to come I have since found out) and waited till the night bus to take us up to Tarija.
