Starting to really feel that it might be worth splashing out on a hotel, man these campsites are bad! But ¨no more¨ I hear you cry so I´ll stop wittering on about them.
Tucuman is a lovely town, there´s a real feeling of energy here. Especially on the 22nd - don´t know what the match was but the local team must have won as the centre of town went completely nuts for a couple of hours. Folk came flooding to the main square and just danced and sang like crazy. There were loads of kids and even the odd dog dressed up in the team colours so the atmosphere was great. Wish we could stay in Argentina for the world cup rather than Bolivia - they really love their footie here.
Back to camping again, we just found a shop selling tents so went in to buy some cooking gas
Got chatting to a guy at our camp site. Indigenous descent, a travelling artist with his family, sells jewellery and juggles to earn a living. We were talking about the mosquitoes and he reckoned we should try a local type of mushroom to keep them at bay. Sounded great but then he continued on to say it would give you an out of body experience and demonstrated how your body would react - lots of writhing and freezing...hmm, ¨Is it legal?¨ I ask, ¨Yes¨ he says, smiling.
Think I´ll stick to my nasty deet spray.

Beautiful skyline
. What a mad shop - beside the tents were huge fridge freezers, above your head are numerous stuffed animal heads and in the middle were a group of cops buying rifles. Very bizarre.
