Canīt believe we managed to land in the busiest, most polluted, noisy town around to spend my birthday in - and then got thoroughly ripped off when we went out for a meal, man they saw us coming. Guess itīs a wake up call before we head to Bolivia - after reading the Lonely Planet site you wonder why any one would want to go there and yet we hear nothing but rave reviews from all the travellers we meet. Should be there in another few weeks.
Weīre still camping but the camp sites are progressively deteriorating as we go along. The one here is only half an hour walk from the centre of town but seems to double as a picnic/barbecue ground with a childrenīs play park in the middle. Feels about as secure as leaving your stuff on a park bench but nothing missing...yet!
