Caught the bus out to the falls again but this time from the Argentine side which means you get much closer views and there are tons of little walkways - down to the beach, up to the foot of the falls, along the rims and right into the heart of the devilīs cauldron. Itīs the dry season just now but the volume of water is still very impressive. Mornings stay heavy with mist until about ten or eleven so itīs very atmospheric - you can hear all sorts of creaking and crawing coming from the jungle then you catch a glimpse of something youīve only ever seen on TV before like the gorgeous big-beaked Toucans.

Puerto Iguazu is a lovely little town but it sits right on the corner of Brazil and Paraguay so is heavy with passing traffic and nobody but nobody it seems has a fully functioning exhaust. Donīt know what the crack is with petrol here but the queues at the gas stations are HUGE - counted over sixty cars one day and the next day, at quarter to six in the morning there were another forty patient drivers sitting in line, mental!
