We woke up very late today. On our agenda was the Prague Castle as well as going back to Charles Bridge to pick up something, Lennon wall, and Melissa and I had a classical concert to attend at night. So we start off in search of food. We walked up. Up and up. Prague Castle is high up on a hill. We were staying on the hill as well but much further down, so we climbed. Had an accidentally expensive lunch and headed up to the castle, the castle is sprawling and none of the pictures could really capture how big it was. Most of the focus was the incredible gothic cathedral in the center. So we went up and I started acting like a shutterbug on speed. The cathedral was very cool and th views from that hill made you want to weep. I'm pretty sure every step we took got you a new view and we fell in love more and more with the city. There is a huge radio tower you can see from the castle. Now you are thinking, why the hell do you care about radio tower? Well because this radio tower has giant babies crawling up it. Giant. Babies. Look at the pictures. What the hell? Anyway, we must have spent at least an hour and a half taking pictures. We then worked our way down and to the Charles bridge to pick up something e couldn't get yesterday. The Lennon wall had to wait another day because Melissa and I had a concert to get to.

We saw a classical concert in this beautiful music hall. It was like everything else here, amazing. Maybe 11 musicians playing Dvorak, Beethoven, Mozart and more. Akansha went exploring back to where we had been while we were at the concert. Melissa and I decided to walk back to our hostel and ended up getting the most stunning view of the castle at night. Raise your hand if you didn't bring your camera. We stopped on the river and enjoyed a bottle of wine and some really good pizza. We then had the pleasure of walking over Charles Bridge at night. By the time we got back it was my birthday. And you all basically know I go a bit nuts. We woke Akansha up and decided birthday beers had to happen and demanded she got dressed. This was probably the best decision we have made yet. We go in search of a bar still open (surprisingly not common) near our hostel. We ended up in an underground pub. We walk into a room of men.

We sit down and maybe the length of time it takes us to decide what we want to drink, we were joined by a Finnish guy. Names aren't important because we couldn't understand what it was. But he had a weird flesh mustache with a hint of green in it, later to be explained that these guys had just come out of some sort of multinational war game experience. We walked into a bar with military guys. Wonderful. Best birthday? Flesh mustache bought us our drinks and his friend came to join him. And they talked. Told us about what they had been doing for the past two weeks. Their feelings on the other countries players and they were very entertaining. Later a Romanian joined us and conversation was not lacking. Most of the other guys left but two more Finnish guys joined us. Somehow three of the Finnish guys ended up taking their shirts off through much encouragement of their buddies (and us) to show off their muscles. Seriously, best freaking birthday ever. We had a great time and the woman at the other table thanked us profusely for the show. The bartender kept the bar open probably two hours later than he would have. It was a great night. We finally got back at around 4:30 to 5 in the morning only to have to get up at 9 to pack and vacate the room. I still haven't figure out where my contacts went. They were in my eyes, and they may still be there, not sure.

The beginning of my birthday was great.

Happy sighs.
