After completing our chores we were looking for something to do and decided to head next door to Boston Bowl for the ultimate triathlon (Billiards, Bowling and Batting) being the great athletes that we are. Chang took out the bowling, I won the billiards and we called it a tie on the batting, the yanks are very impressed with our hitting skills. After such strenuous activity we headed back to our room to prepare for the ballgame.
We jumped the shuttle and headed to the subway, the trains were packed so it was standing room only all the way to Fenway. We got to the park about 6:00 and bought a couple of standing only tickets, Fenway Park is everything it's cracked up to be, they close the surrounding streets and it's a real party atmosphere with bars and baseball souvenir shops everywhere. We went inside and stood on the concourse directly behind home plate the Sox started of really well with Big Papi being the early star. After about the 4th dig the usher said there were a couple of seats lower down and we were welcome to use them, we watched the rest of the game seated directly behind home plate. The Sox smashed the Rangers and balls were flying out of the park on a regular basis.
We jumped back on the packed train and headed back to our room to crash to prepare for the road trip to New Jersey for our camping trip at Allaire State Park with Rando.
Another great day today, we woke around 8:00 and headed down to brekky. They had a better spread here, scrambled eggs on a muffin with a banana chaser, that'll get us through the day. We decided to stay in our local area today because we had laundry to do, and would be heading into town for the game tonight. We walked to the local shops checked out the neighbourhood and went back to our room to sort the washing, it would have been a perfect day to hang stuff on the line to dry but they just don't do that here.
