After brekky we cleaned up the camp had a quick game of catch before showering to head into Allaire Village. The Allaire Village is similar to Sovereign Hill but on a much smaller scale, it was quite pleasant to walk around. I shouted the boys a cuppa for morning tea and we sat beside the millpond watching the clouds roll in.
After leaving the village, we headed to the township of Farmingdale to locate Tom's Tavern, it is a biker bar located on the outskirts of town right across the road from an exclusive golf course estate full of McMansions
We decided to head to the shops to buy the meat and vegies for dinner before the expected bad weather set in. We picked up some snags, steak, spuds, onions, corn and hotdog rolls.
We got back to camp and prepared to cook up our feast, hotdogs for starters, corn for entree and steak and vegies for main. There weren't many leftovers but we kept them aside along with the lone surviving pizza slice as a trap for Rocky Raccoon (we gave him an Italian name because of his love for pizza). As darkness fell we set the the trap, we were going to get this sneaky little bastard on camera.
We were sitting around our roaring campfire watching the lightning bugs sparking off in the woods when we saw movement, he was on his way. He tried to sneak around behind us but we were on to him, he made his way to the pizza box and snap we got him. You've got to him some credit, they sure are cagey little critters. After all of the excitement a few spots of rain started to fall and gradually got heavier, it was time to retire to the yurt. It didn't stop raining all night.
