Arrived in Kaikoura, due to rain stayed in a hostel (have really had enough of camping in the cold and rain now). Simona very happy to have a double bed to herself, I was on a top bunk!
Woke up at 4.45am (lovely to get up when it is still dark but it was worth it) and headed down to the harbour as we were going dolphin swimming with Dusky Dolphins. The dolphins were wild so we had to first find them. I was expecting to see just a few but altogether there were about 200! We swam with them in about 4 different places. It was amazing (much better than last year in Key Largo and I thought that was good), they swam very close and all around you. They liked it when you swam round and round with them which I did until I got dizzy! They also like you to sing and I sang some James Blunt songs them and even if I do sing quite badly and don't know the words, the dolphins seemed to like it.
