Drove a few hours to Mount Cook. It is amazing how I can now drive for 5 to 10 hours and not think anything of it. En-route we stopped off on a beach where there were some perfectly round boulders created by the sea (see photos).
Mount Cook is another place where there is only one or two places to stay and no shops or petrol. We arrived in the wind but then that died down and it was lovely and warm. We went on a couple of walks (luckily not very steep although we did have to cross a stream and nearly got wet feet and had to climb up some rocks, but we didn't get lost or anything!) to see Mount Cook and the Tasman glacier, stunning.
Spent the evening relaxing as usual and getting cold!
