Back at the beach house we finally dried off, spent a night in a bed and the next day did very little!
Then we headed to Cathedral Cove where we went on a hour walk to a pretty beach with some amazing rocks (see photo) and then walked back again, unfortunately we could not stop on the beach due to the driving rain! We then drove to Hot Water Beach where at low tide you dig into the sand at a certain point and sit in hot water like your own hot spring. We arrived and after a few moments of deliberation put on our bikinis and ventured onto the beach in the pouring rain. Along with many other we squeezed into a tiny area and dug, only a small section had warm water others had boiling water and others only cold water, I have to admit that I didn't bother sitting down as the cold sea kept freezing everyone so I just warmed my feet up and shivered! We are mad, why do we do these things. At least we then got to go home to a warm house (rather than a tent)and I had a bath in the smallest bath ever.
Then we had our final night at the beach house (not happy as managed to get loads of bites and could hear the mosquitos buzzing by my ear, didn't expect them inside, and the cat kept waking us up).
