On Saturday we headed back to Auckland and had lunch by the harbour before going to visit our 3rd Cousin Jen. We went for a drink by the water (see photo) and then went to a xmas bbq at her friend's house. Had the most gorgeous cheesecake ever, custard, and made an interesting strawberry vodka concoction. They also did Secret Santa and I got a maouri gift tha brings good luck so have hung it in the car.
The following day after breakfast (raisin toast which I have missed since Oz) we popped into town to buy last minute camping gear before heading up to Northland.
