We flew from El Calfate to Bariloche, then caught a rickety old bus to El Bolson. As we were getting on the bus the driver kept gesturing to me so I kept turning around trying to work out what he was gesturing at. This continued for awhile with Simona cracking up. I then realised that the man wanted to take my rucksack from me and every time I turned round he reached for it but I then turned back again, the poor man nearly fell off the bus. Sim spend a good 10 minutes laughing hysterically at this!
When we arrived we walked around for ages to find a hostel, all were closed. After an hour we went into a taxi place and the man in there phoned around for us. Eventually he found us a hostel, by this point we had been in El Bolson for 2 hrs. We were so grateful that Simona hugged him, he looked quite shocked, he was only 20 so a story to tell his friends how he rescued 2 British girls!
The hostel was run by a cute old lady, mum it had a Romanian feel and smell to it!
The next day we went to do a trip but very expensive so we spent the day on the Internet again. We had dinner in the hostel garden and drank wine out of plastic beakers, once again classy us!
The following day we went back to Bariloche, regret going to El Bolson, oh well I suppose making mistakes is part of the experience!
