From Paraguay Simona and I went back to Argentina, this time to Corrientes. Once we arrived we decided that there was not that much to do so we booked ourselves on an overnight bus to Santa Fe (9 hours), we spent the day pottering around and reading in the park, in the sun. Had a bit of a panic when we got to Santa Fe as in our half asleep state we did not realise that we had arrived so nearly did not get off in time! Again decided that there was not much to do in Santa Fe and it was a bit grotty so by 9am we were on another bus, this time to Rosario (2 and a half hours away). Rosario was very nice, we stayed in a hotel which overlooked a plaza and had a balcony! We headed straight for the beach, or tried to except that we did not realise where our stop was so came to the end of the line without getting off of the bus, the nice bus driver let us stay on until he passed our stop again! The beach was manmade and not that wonderful but it did us fine as we could top up our tan, look at the lake and sleep (it really is not very easy to sleep on an overnight bus!). Again got bitten.
That night Simona and I found an all you can eat buffet and we did eat (and drank wine!).
The next day we pottered around in the park by the river, got covered in bites again and then caught the overnight bus for 8 hours to Montevideo in Uruguay and then 4 hours to Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Quite impressive, 4 countries in a week! Am abit fed up with all the travelling now!
