Flew to Santiago, it was quite strange as we were in the air for about 25mins then we landed, picked some people from another airport then flew again for another 2hrs.

Santiago is huge, very European, it has some stunning buildings and huge shopping malls.
There are very few foreigners here so we seem to be sticking out especially as Sim and I tend to get the giggles at inappropriate moments!

It is quite cold here which is not good but we do have a heater in out room.

It is quite sad but we were very excited as we could finally get our clothes washed which were filthy from the jungle 1 Nina and I before our night out.
1 Nina and I before our night out.
. We are in a hotel and the maid who hand washes the clothes is a real character and pretended to faint when she saw the 4 big bags of clothes! She laughs at us all the time! Unfortunately some of my clothes were ruined in the jungle so I had to go shopping today and replace them, unfortunately I accidently bought some extra clothes too )not sure how i will fit them in my bag)!By the way in South America the only way to wash clothes is to hand them in, we were not just being posh-lazy by getting some one to wash them for us!

We caught a Funicular up a hill to see some stunning views of Santiago and the snow covered mountains, the cable car down wasn't working so we walked back down!

Had a night out in Santiago which was really good, ended up in a gay bar!

The next day we went to Vina Del Mar, a pretty place by the sea, unfortunately on the second day it rained so not really able to appreciate the views.

Back in Santiago, its nice and sunny today and we are off to Rio in a few hours! Fingers crossed for some nice weather, I need to sunbathe!
