Hi guys
Arrived in Copacabana safe and sound, was very weird crossing the border as you get off the bus and show passport to Peru officials, then walk 2 mins and show passport to Bolivian officials and you are in Bolivia! You then get back on bus (the bus driver tried to get us to pay a tax which was illegal, we said no as knew illegal and had no money so he said he would get the police on us, clearly he did not as it was illegal!).
Copacabana is a tiny place on Lake Titicaca (nice when sunny otherwise very cold). Once again we found a hostel not quite finished, we were the first guests!
As we wondered around we bumped into Steve who we met when White Water Rafting, and two Oz blokes who he had met with (they ended up travelling with us till today), went out for dinner and a few drinks (or more than a few). I have realised that i dont like sharing with boys, they are really gross!!! Was kindly woken up one morning at 7am by Jules (the Oz bloke) playing Rage Against the Machine as we had to get up early to catch boat to Isla del Sol. For some stupid reason we sat on the top of the boat and got very cold, had to wear my woolie hat.
(Through out my travelpod you will hear alot about the various toilet traumas i encounter, i apologise for this but tough! When we got to the Island I went to the toilet in a restaurant to discover there was a window in the door half covered by a towel and the toilet was opposite window so anyone who wanted to could see you on the toilet ( this is apart from the whole not allowing to flush paper down the loo (not that anywhere provides toilet paper!)and many places with no running water to flush loo or wash hands, nice, i always carry antibacterial handwash with me!) Sorry for that rant!
We did a 3hr walk from the south to north of the island, the sun was shining and the views were stunning (we were v tired as all of the places are v high above sea level and altitude is a real problem).
We left the next day.
