I will not recommend this campground. I think that Oceano might be a great place for renting dune buggies or quads but for rving it sucks. It costs us over $50 a night and no sewer hookups, no cable and no wi-fi. These guys even charge to use the shower! $1 for 10 minutes. It's pretty cold and windy here too. If I were to come back to Pismo area I would stay at an RV resort with a pool and stuff. This campground has, pretty much, nothing and way overpriced.
We ended driving into Pismo yesterday and hanging out all day. The beach area of town is very cool with tons of restaurants and bars and shops. The scene seems pretty laxed. Lots of people ripping around on these 3 and 4 wheeled pedal powered cruisers. They looked pretty cool and I almost rented one. We ate at a place on the beach (Pier side Seafood, I think it was called.) and they even let Chula in to hang out with us. Food was OK and priced accordingly, cold beer was excellent!
It warmed up a bit after lunch so we went out on the beach to some volleyball courts that were set up there. Like 8 or 10 of them! Violet was stoked. We set up camp there and hung out the rest of the day. The temp was in the mid 60's, probably, and a little breezy. The beach has a really fine, soft sand. Violet wore us out on the court so we pawned her off on another family to play with them for a while. Kid is volleyball obsessed! She gave us a serious workout. Vonnie's neck is kinked this morning and I'm pretty sore all the way through.
We will be breaking camp and heading down the PCH today. We are due at Disneyland tomorrow so the plan is to overnight somewhere close to Anaheim and pull into the Disneyland parking lot early tomorrow morning. From what we understand, Disneyland has RV parking now.
