282 Miles Today: We got up this morning and It was pretty crappy out. We checked the weather for the Kenai peninsula and it called for heavy rain with low visibility. So we decided to start making our way to Haines. We took the Glenn Highway from Wasilla up to Tok. It took us about 6 hours, and go figure, it was another beautiful road. I was snapping pictures like crazy. We came around one curve and couldn't believe our eyes. There in front of us was the Matanuska Glacier. What an awesome sight that was.

Anyhow we got to Tok at about 4pm and just as we pulled into the motel the sky's opened up. Once again we escaped the rain. We checked in to the same motel we stay at on Sunday. We figured we knew what we were getting for our money and they have a good restaurant.

Tomorrow we will be on the Alaska highway and back into Yukon, Canada. This is the part we've been dreading for the last couple days. It's the part of the highway that has holes big enough to swallow an RV. It took us 3 hours to do 80 miles on the way here.
I have to say we're all pretty excited about the Ferry trip. The thought of not having to climb on those bikes for 3 days sounds pretty good right now. Not to mention not having to stop for gas 4 or 5 times a day, or finding a place to eat, or sleep every night.
