Well this one does actually come from Quito but only just.  Hughes turns up to Cardiff airport Sunday after saying his farewells. The time of the flight comes. And goes. No movement on the little screen at all... not a good sign this. The announcement that the flight was cancelled was an even worse sign, the fact that there were no flights available was a further kick in the cajoolies.

So Hughes spends his first night of his travels in... the Holiday Inn Express next to Cardiff Airport. Though to be fair I was able to go mad and gorge myself using the whole 15 quid meal voucher coutesy of mr KLM.

So I soent the first day of my travels in..... Barry Island. old skool arcades

Not exactly what I had in mind but quite good fun and also somewhere I had never been before.

A mere 24 hours late I did get going, flight to the Dam was of no interest whatsoever. Then got on the flight to Quito, took my seat and noticed that the seat next to me was free and pretty much everyone was on-board... then noticed that the seat next to that was also free... Hughes had three seat heaven all the way so a lovely kip (arguments for a free upgrade due to delay had fallen on stoney ears)- slept right through Music and Lyrics and Casino Royale and having no wish to see one and already seen the other that was a result.
Seat result was even better when I found out at the last stop (only about half hour from Quito) that IŽd actually been sitting in the wrong seat the entire way, having been sitting in my Cardiff-Dam number. Oh well, worked out well for me.

Send some Quito stuff later, off now to meet Elin and Paul for lunch.
